The Wilderness Yet
Contemporary Folk Trio / Traditional Folk / Vocal Harmony
A critically acclaimed UK folk trio combining traditional song, original composition, and three-part vocal harmony.
The Wilderness Yet is a contemporary folk trio featuring Rosie Hodgson, Rowan Piggott, and Philippe Barnes. Blending traditional English and European folk music with original songwriting, they are known for intricate vocal harmonies and richly textured instrumental arrangements.
Since their debut album The Wilderness Yet (2020), followed by Turn The Year Round (2021) and What Holds The World Together (2022), the trio has become a respected presence on the UK and European folk festival circuit, receiving widespread critical acclaim, BBC and RTÉ airplay, and performing at major festivals including Cambridge Folk Festival and Folk by the Oak.
Their performances move between unaccompanied vocal harmony and fully arranged instrumental pieces, combining traditional folk influences with contemporary composition and live folk performance energy.
