Festival Villages
Storytelling Village
A village dedicated to story, memory, and myth.
Storytelling Village focuses on Arthurian legend, fireside tales, and the broader bardic tradition of England and the British Isles. Guests can meet festival storytellers, take part in intimate performances, and engage in reflective storytelling sessions throughout the weekend.
Participants are also invited to bring a personal story connected to ancestry, place, or heritage, contributing to a shared living tradition of narrative.
Knights Quest Camp
A structured, multi-day participation experience built around challenge, skill, and progression.
Knights Quest Camp guides participants through a series of connected activities and trials across the three days of the festival. These are not performances to watch, but challenges to undertake.
The experience culminates in a final ceremony that recognises completion of the journey and the role each participant has played within it.
This camp is designed for those who want a guided arc through the festival, combining physical activity, decision making, and shared group experience.
Outlaws Camp
A training and performance base for improvisation, roleplay, and immersive theatre.
Facilitated by trained actors and directors with expertise in traditional theatre, immersive performance, and live action role play. Outlaws Camp teaches participants how to enter the festival as active characters. From there, they are guided into the wider site where they can interact with visitors, respond to unfolding situations, and contribute to emergent narratives across Kingsflame.
This is a space for transformation, performance, and controlled improvisation within a structured creative framework.
