Powerhouse duo Aile is an exciting collaboration between Boston-born fiddler Elizabeth Davidson-Blythe and Manx bouzouki player Daniel Quayle. Aile boasts a massive synth-rock-meets-trad sound that makes the most of its multi-instrumentalists, merging original and traditional melodies from the Isle of Man with live on-stage synth playing using their feet.

Currently in their fifth year and with a long-awaited second album on the way, Aile continues to make space for exciting new possibilities in the folk realm, bringing forth new sounds, genres and unexpected twists while paying homage to traditional Manx music and culture.

From their noughties-pop inspired track ‘Birnam Oak’ featuring John Joe Kelly (Flook), to blues collaboration with electric guitarist Davy Knowles (Band of Friends, Back Door Slam) on ‘Ursa Major’, each track brings in new audiences and loyalty from fans across several continents.
