The Grand Tournament
A centrepiece of the festival featuring professional jousting and mounted combat displays.
Watch knights in full armour compete in arena performances of skill, precision, and spectacle.
The Grand Tournament brings together riders and horses trained in historical mounted combat, delivering thrilling displays of speed and control as they charge the length of the arena.
Alongside the joust, expect demonstrations of historical martial arts drawing on techniques from Europe's fencing traditions, part of the festival's HEMA Tournament programme.

The Storytelling Realm
A living network of story across the festival grounds.
The Storytelling Realm brings together live narration, poetry, and myth in three connected forms: scheduled performances, intimate storytelling spaces across the festival, and participatory storytelling experiences where guests are invited to take part.
Arthurian legend, folklore, and traditional tales are brought to life by some of England's leading storytellers, including Hugh Lupton, Brice Stratford, Michael Smith, and Malcolm Guite.

The Music of the Realm
Live folk and traditional music centred around the main stage, with select performances woven into key festival moments.
The Music of the Realm features scheduled performances from folk and traditional artists on the Main Stage across the weekend.
Music also appears within the Kingsflame Ceremony and selected storytelling sessions, where it is used to deepen atmosphere and narrative.

The Immersive Villages
Exclusive immersive participation add-on for Weekend Camping Pass holders.
Includes access to structured roleplay worlds, narrative quests, and facilitated participation across the festival site throughout the weekend.
Current villages include the Storytelling Village, focused on myth, folklore, and the bardic tradition; Knights Quest Camp, a guided challenge-based experience culminating in a closing ceremony; and Outlaws Camp, a space for improvisation, roleplay, and immersive theatre.

The Festival Square
The central gathering place of Kingsflame.
Food, drink, seating, and informal encounters come together here, creating the social heart of the festival.
A place to meet, rest, and share time between experiences — with a selection of food and drink vendors throughout the weekend.

The Ceremony of Kingsflame
A three-part ritual cycle held at the Kingsflame Pyre across the weekend.
Friday marks the opening of the festival, Saturday the central lighting, and Sunday the closing gathering.
On Saturday evening, the Kingsflame Pyre is ceremonially lit in a shared moment of fire, sound, and gathering that forms the peak of the weekend.

The Field of Skill
Hands-on experiences including archery, craft, and martial skill workshops.
A space to learn, try, and take part in traditional skills, with demonstrations and guided sessions running across the weekend.
